Dr. Dahlia Fisher

Dahlia Fisher is a registered clinical and health psychologist, specializing in the assessment and treatment of children and adolescents. She received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Concordia University in Montreal, following her Honours B.Sc. at the University of Toronto. Dr. Fisher’s areas of clinical expertise include helping children and adolescents cope with anxiety, stress, or depression, as well as attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and adjustment disorders. She also helps children and adolescents cope with the psychological impact of serious health concerns, such as cancer and other chronic or life-threatening medical issues.

Dr. Fisher completed her pre-doctoral internship at Sick Kids Hospital, and has held subsequent staff positions at Sick Kids Hospital in the Department of Psychology and in the Division of Adolescent Medicine. She has also worked in one of Toronto’s leading private practices that specializes in comprehensive psychological assessments of children and adolescents.

Dr. Fisher’s approach to assessment and treatment is grounded in evidence-based methods. She forms a collaborative and trusting relationship with her clients, and works with families when appropriate. Dr. Fisher’s primary theoretical orientation is cognitive-behavioural; however, her clinical work is guided by a flexible approach, drawing upon client-centred, solution-focused, and strength-based techniques.
