Dr. Faye Doell

Dr. Faye Doell received her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from York University. Her clinical experience includes work and training with a wide range of treatment approaches and client populations in a variety of clinical settings.

Dr. Doell's area of specialization is adult mental health. She provides treatment to individuals with mood and anxiety disorders, interpersonal problems, and those experiencing difficult life transitions. Dr. Doell also specializes in treating couples who are experiencing relationship distress. Her approach to working with couples is informed by her research on communication and relationship satisfaction, and is focused on helping couples to reduce conflicts and enhance their enjoyment of their relationship.

In addition to her work in private practice, Dr. Doell currently holds a position at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health. She has taught several undergraduate courses and provided supervision to graduate student therapists at York University, and provides training to professionals who are interested in learning motivational interviewing. She is a member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers.
