Dr. Debora D’Iuso is committed to delivering excellent care to her clients and views therapy as a collaborative endeavour. She specializes in the treatment of depression, anxiety disorders (panic, health anxiety, social anxiety, phobias, generalized anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder) and posttraumatic stress using a Cognitive Behaviour Therapy approach. She views the therapeutic journey as one of personal fulfillment and empowerment. This journey commences with a strong alliance and progresses by
jointly working with clients to determine what skills/strategies are best suited to overcome their respective hurdles.

Dr. D’Iuso is a registered psychologist. She was awarded her Ph.D. in counselling psychology from McGill University, following the completion of an Honours BSc. in psychology and Master’s degree from McGill University. Dr. D’Iuso also completed a post-graduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavior
Therapy at the Institute of Psychiatry, King’s College London, England which led to accreditation with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies.

Dr. D’Iuso has worked at hospitals and outpatient clinics in Canada, the USA, and London, England. In Ontario, she worked in the adult outpatient posttraumatic stress clinic at Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Science.

For the past four years, Dr. D’Iuso has worked as a psychologist in London, England at South London and Maudsley NHS trust. In this role, she also trained doctoral students from the Institute of Psychiatry in their research and clinical work and supervised staffed clinicians.

Dr. D’Iuso has specialized training in Cognitive Behavior Therapy and has extensive clinical and research experience in this approach. Her main research interests center on the psychotherapy process and she has over 40 peer-reviewed paper publications and presentations. She was selected as the winner of the 2018 best article award by the Canadian Psychological Association.
