Prenatal and Postpartum Psychology, Health Psychology, Depression, and Anxiety

Dr. Jillian Satin is a registered clinical and health psychologist with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. She considers it a privilege to support her clients in leading more satisfying and meaningful lives.

Dr. Satin would be pleased to meet with you to determine if she is well matched to help you reach your goals. This may include improving mood, reducing anxiety, managing stress, improving communication, and coping with difficult changes and losses. One of her areas of focus is prenatal and postpartum psychology (depression, anxiety, and difficult adjustment to parenthood) for both mothers and fathers. To overcome some of the barriers that postpartum parents face in seeking treatment, she can provide telephone consultations and home visits if suitable.

Dr. Satin obtained her Doctorate and Master’s degrees in Clinical Psychology from the University of British Columbia (UBC) and her Honours Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from McGill University. She completed her residency at the London Clinical Psychology Residency Consortium, where she trained in Cardiac Rehabilitation, General Behavioural Medicine, and Rheumatology.

Dr. Satin has trained at the Odette Cancer Centre at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, as well as at a broad range of clinics and hospitals in the Vancouver area, including the Women’s Health Research Institute, Vancouver General Hospital, Royal Columbian Hospital, St. Paul’s Hospital’s Chronic Pain Centre, Back in Motion Inc., and the UBC Psychology Clinic.

Dr. Satin is a member of the Canadian Psychological Association, Ontario Psychological Association, and Postpartum Support International.
