Dr. Nicole Carson completed her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at York University. She received clinical training in settings including the York University Psychology Clinic, Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, Toronto Western Hospital, Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, and Baycrest Health Sciences. She recently completed her pre-doctoral residency at Vancouver Coastal Health in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Dr. Carson’s approach to therapy is client-centred and draws on evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. She maintains an emphasis on empathy and acceptance in her collaborative work with clients. Dr. Carson individually tailors treatments for stress, anxiety and depression, to the specific needs and goals of her clients.
In addition to her Clinical Psychology training, Dr. Carson has expertise in Clinical Neuropsychology, providing neuropsychological assessment and cognitive rehabilitation for individuals with neurological conditions and neurodegenerative disease.
