Jessica Jeong completed her undergraduate degree from Queen’s University and her Master’s degree from York University. She is currently in the fourth year of her PhD in Clinical Psychology and is being clinically supervised by Dr. Darlene Walker, Clinical Psychologist/Neuropsychologist, at The Clinic on Dupont.

Jessica has been trained clinically in a variety of placements, including the Geneva Centre for Autism, the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, Toronto District School Board, Broadview Psychology, and the Hospital for Sick Children for rotations specialized in pediatric obesity and eating disorders. She is currently being trained as a senior clinician at the York University Psychology Clinic, where she has received the Graduate Student YUPC Award in 2016, providing peer mentorship and training for junior trainee clinicians.

Jessica has education and training in a variety of evidence-based therapeutic modalities for treating anxiety, depression, academic stress, relationship difficulties, and binge eating behaviors, including: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and mindfulness practices. Her approach to treatment is collaborative, in cultivating the clients’ motivation and capacity to explore and find solutions that feel right and meaningful for them.
