I am a clinical social worker providing therapy to children and adolescents and their families. I practice a client-centred approach that builds on the foundation of each client’s internal strengths and resources, and prioritizes their expertise in their own life. I work in collaboration with youth and their families throughout the therapeutic process to create a safe, non-judgmental environment that enables exploration of new ideas, trying out new techniques and strategies, and challenging held beliefs and habitual behaviours.

Over my years of practice, I have helped children and youth to address a variety of challenges, including anxiety, depression, emotion dysregulation, bullying, and relationship conflicts. I also bring extensive experience working with children diagnosed with Learning Disabilities (LD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

I take a fun and creative approach to my practice, bringing elements of psychoeducation, learning, and self-discovery into games and activities that are energetic, engaging, and have a long-lasting impact on clients. I believe in the importance of building strong therapeutic relationships with both youth and their families to ensure that clients feel comfortable to share their experiences and safely work towards change. I am passionate and dedicated to supporting children and families with a flexible style that helps them to build on their strengths, make meaningful changes, and meet their social, emotional and developmental needs.

I received my Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Toronto, following my Bachelor of Education from York University and Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Psychology from Queen’s University. I use an integrative approach to my work, incorporating elements from cognitive behavioural therapy, mindfulness-based approaches, narrative therapy and brief solution-focused therapy. I have worked in the field in several different settings, including schools, universities, outdoor education programs and children’s mental health agencies, and have delivered a range of therapeutic interventions through individual and group therapy for children, youth and families. I understand that each client and their family bring their own unique values, beliefs and culture to the process and ensure that these critical aspects of identity are integrated in all our work together.
