Caitlin McKay is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying). She received her Bachelor of Arts with Honours from the University of Ottawa, followed by a Masters degree in Counselling Psychology from Saint Paul University. Caitlin is passionate about working with adolescents and adults to achieve their therapeutic goals. She primarily provides psychotherapy to individuals seeking support in areas like mood disorders, general and social anxiety, interpersonal issues, trauma, and life transitions.

Caitlin likes to work from an integrative approach toward therapy modalities because she believes that every individual’s process is unique, and that treatment should not comply with a one-size-fits-all approach. She believes assessing the cognitive, emotional, somatic, and behavioural aspects of all experiences is important. Caitlin draws from evidence-based treatments like Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Trauma- Informed Therapy, Attachment-Based Therapy and Mindfulness.

What is most important to Caitlin is creating a strong therapeutic relationship with the clients, where they feel safe, open, and supported. Caitlin is committed to working collaboratively with clients to reach their full potential and meet their goals and strives to make all clients feel like their diversity is always celebrated.
