The Clinic on Dupont Toronto

Women's Issues Therapy

Women face a number of distinct challenges that can impact their mental health and wellbeing. Statistically, women are much more likely than men to be sexually assaulted or to be the victims of domestic violence, which means that women often need support to deal with the post-traumatic stress, anxiety, depression and other mental health concerns that arise as a result of these traumas.

Many women’s health concerns, such as premenstrual dysphoric disorder and polycystic ovarian syndrome, are associated with psychological symptoms that can exacerbate the condition and limit a woman’s ability to function at work and home. Similarly, hormonal changes or imbalances related to the menstrual cycle, pregnancy, and menopause can also make a woman more susceptible to certain psychological issues, including postpartum and clinical depression.

At The Clinic on Dupont, our clinicians view each woman and her experience holistically and use Cognitive Behavioural therapy to reduce distressing psychological symptoms and improve overall health and wellness.

Are you looking for help with your anxiety? Our Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) professionals are here for you. Call us at (416) 515-2649 to speak with one of our psychologists.
