The Clinic on Dupont - Clinical Psychology

Sarah’s practice is rooted in the belief that individuals are experts on their own lives, and works to cultivate a collaborative and egalitarian therapeutic relationship with her clients. Sarah is dedicated to fostering an open, safe, and authentic therapeutic space in which clients can thrive.

Sarah employs an integrated approach to therapy that blends multiple therapeutic modalities, as she is a keen believer that therapy must reflect the complex and diverse identities, experiences and needs of each client. Sarah draws on various theoretical orientations and therapeutic approaches including Cognitive-Behavioural (CBT), Emotion-Focused (EFT), Dialectical Behavioural (DBT), and Feminist Therapy to ensure that the unique needs of each client are fulfilled. Sarah also understands that individuals are embedded in systems of power, which create meaning and contribute in both positive and negative ways to how they experience the world. Therefore, her practice is rooted in anti-oppressive, intersectional, and holistic approaches to understanding people and their experiences.

Sarah has her Master’s degree in Clinical and Counselling Psychology from the Adler Graduate Professional School in Toronto, where she also completed the Adler Trauma Psychotherapy Certificate as part of her studies. She also has a Master’s degree in Anthropology from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toronto in Anthropology and Women and Gender Studies. Her Master’s thesis in Anthropology included a comprehensive review of literature in such areas as anti-racism and disability. Sarah has administered and scored a variety of neuropsychological and cognitive tests, as well as OCD, PTSD, and ADHD measures and has conducted structured clinical interviewing.
